@Gil Scott-Heroin is such a clown he’s acting like he’s actually watched Wilt’s 100 point game :russ:
"Stop acting like Wilt's 100 was any different"...nicca how the f*ck would YOU know?
Here you go you two dikkriding fakkits -

The Truth Behind Wilt's 100-point game

Chamberlain thanked his teammates. "It wouldn't even have been close to possible without them. They wanted me to get it as much I did."He added, "They had to do more than just give up open shots. They had to avoid fouls and pass me the ball in traffic."Knicks' player Richie Guerin felt the Warriors broke a code of honor in sports by embarrassing an opponent and setting a record outside the normal flow of the game. Although effusive in his praise of Chamberlain, Guerin nonetheless estimated that if the game had played out normally, Chamberlain would have finished 15 to 20 points shy of 100. Chamberlain countered he could have scored 140 if the Knicks "had played straight-up basketball." New York coach Eddie Donovan suggested, "The game was a farce. They would foul us and we would foul them." The Knicks' Naulls stated, "The game was not a fluke ... I thought it was absolutely authentic." Imhoff said Zinkoff's announcements did not help the Knicks' cause.
"From accounts of how it went down, the Warriors spent almost the entire fourth quarter fouling to get the ball back and force-feeding Chamberlain the ball," writes CBS Sports' Royce Young. "New York coach Eddie Donovan said, 'The game was a farce. They would foul us and we would foul them.' Chamberlain's shot attempts by quarter: 14, 12, 16, 21. You think in a blowout in today's game that a team would keeping feeding their star like that?"

It's one thing for the opposing team to employ a Hack-a-Wilt strategy.

After all, Chamberlain was one of the worst free-throw shooters the NBA has ever seen—he shot 51.1 percent from the line on 11.4 attempts per game for his career—and it's a serious aberration that he was able to knock down 28 of his 32 attempts from the charity stripe that night. More power to him for converting when the odds were against him.

"Hell, I'm the world's worst foul-shooter, and I hit 28 of 32 free throws that night—87.5 percent," Chamberlain wrote in Wilt. "That just shows that anyone can get lucky. Just check the box scores over a few months; some really weak players will have fantastic games."

It's different for a player's teammates to foul the other team during a blowout, all with the intent of running up an individual's scoring total. That's when things become farcical, as Donovan mentioned in Young's quote.

The fouls just piled up as the game got increasingly ridiculous. Both teams were intentionally getting refs to blow whistles, and the Knicks were doing everything possible to run the clock out before Wilt got to triple digits.

Frank McGuire, the head coach of the Warriors, even put in his backups during the closing minutes of the fourth quarter, all with the intention of using them to foul New York and get the ball back into Wilt's hands.

It's interesting that the relevant pages of Wilt make absolutely no reference to any of this. Chamberlain writes about the Knicks holding on to the ball "almost the full 24 seconds every time they got it late in the game." He mentions that Naulls told him Donovan gave his team "explicit orders to freeze the ball and pass up good shots so I (Chamberlain) couldn't rebound and score and embarrass them."

But he never talks about his team employing similarly farcical tactics.

Hmm...I wonder why.

Records are meant to be broken. Whether they get broken naturally or otherwise. We see them in nfl all the time, a qb will throw a BS 1yard td up 30 for a record or a receiver catching a BS ball for a record.

Nikkas arguing back and forth about the same dumb shyt. the record belongs to Wilt, never belonged to kobe.

This is about to be a litmus test on how much do you hate Kobe vs how much you love the game. The usual suspects in here being dishonest as hell just to shyt on “Kobe stans”. 81 was bound to be broken at some point. But I don’t like how this was done. Teammates trying to intentionally miss fts for more possessions? Intentionally fouling up 25+ late in the fourth for more attempts? That’s nasty work.

But honestly, shout out to Bam. The mentality to go out and get it, was impressive. Plus that’s my Nigerian brother so I can’t be too mad. It’s about to be open season on that 83 tho. No one’s about to sub out after hot starts now. Which is gonna be fun to watch

On KRS One's nose, eating sunflower seeds.
“Kobe stans gonna be in shambles”

“Kobe stans mad”

I don’t Kobe stans are either.

Bam had a Temu 83 and dudes are only happy that he broke Kobe’s record. Nothing else.

Watch someone say, “ I had a feeling Bam was gonna score 83, I told my boys before the game. Once he hit 60, I knew, I knew, he was getting 83”.:youngsabo:

I don’t know how to break this to you but there was nothing “ethical” about Kobe’s 81. Yes LA was down at one point but they eventually blew the game open. He could’ve sat much earlier but instead stayed in up 18 points with seconds remaining in the game. For the last 7 minutes of the game no Laker shot the ball besides Bryant and his last 7 points were all stat padded FTs.

This is the general problem with Kobe Stan’s. You dudes just don’t ever approach these conversations honestly. Every single popular argument and narrative for Kobe is revisionist history that you will quickly realize is bullshyt if you actually bother to do your own research.

Kobe greatly benefits from the bulk of his career happening just before the uprise of social media. It’s allowed his most deranged stans to just outright make shyt up about what he actually did. And they just repeat it incessantly to the point where lesser minded people start to believe it. This is how we’ve made it all the way to 2026 with people still believing the bullshyt about him being a “clutch killer” when there’s mountains of evidence suggesting otherwise.

You talking about “how much do yall love the game” nikka how much do you love it?? You just witnessed a dude do something remarkable and couldn’t help but immediately start hating because it came at the expense of dear leader :laff:
