AB needs to stay the fukk away from 147. I mean just avoid that shyt like the plague

rewatching the Ward fight this is exactly how AB should have fought last night toss the jab out all round 1-3 then start introducing the left hook at the end of rd 3 three, instead of just throwing left hooks at air all night

I cant see him beatin any of those guys. Those guys throw alot of punches and AB is just not a busy enough fighter. His lack of activity in the ring is gonna cost him alot of wins against most 140-147's

Porter has the most unappealing boxing style I've ever seen in my life. As I've said before, he reminds me of a Chihuahua that keeps nagging you by rushing in...snapping at your ankles. Broner could have won the fight, but he rarely made Porter pay after he made him (wildly) miss. He just made him miss, then held him all night. Porter annoys me every time he rushes with his head down, swinging wildly. He looks like a broken windmill in a bad storm.

ok thats fine and all but Khan chin is made out of glass, which is my point that if Broner hits Khan with that SAME shot , Khan woulda been ko'd..

Nah, Khan's chin is actually becoming misled now on what it is. You can get to his chin, put him down, and have him walking on baby deer legs, but Khan has shown the ability to keep getting up and trying. He took vicious shots from Garcia and brutal shots from Maidana, who hits harder than both of them.

He keeps getting up. Khan has heart. His chin goes pretty easy and he equilibrium never fully recovers, but dude has heart. He isn't being KD and counted out.

The key is to do it early like Garcia, so Khan can't try to survive a round or two to let the fight end, like vs. Maidana.

Finally saw the fight ..........WOW!


WTF was Broner doing in this fight ? nikka had no work rate, combos or jabs all night long . Only thing he did was just throw left hooks and just hold. Breh has no inside game , cant fight going backwards or under pressure.His defense is constantly open to the body. He is still open to hooks n overhand rights. Broner was just letting Porter come in all night trying to counter him . Ab never got off first..just waited for Porter to do something first and had absolutely no fukkin jab all night to offset Shawn.

pretty much....dude looked terrible, and what I thought he might do,time, counter punch porter coming in....he did it in the 12th and didnt really follow up when he had him hurt

That's the thing.... he doesn't really have a jab. Outside of blazing speed I'm finding it really difficult to see what this dude does good. He's not very good defensively. His footwork is a mess. He doesn't counter very well. What does Broner do better than everyone else at 140/147?


And people are sitting here saying that Showtime was being rough and tumble. We knew that was coming. But give dude some credit. From round 5 on, that jab was in Broner's face and he had no answer for it.


And instead of finding someone to fight Thurman, why won't Floyd fight him? One Time has been the WBA mandatory forever.

I been watching Shawn Porter since his ESPN debut and he still does that hop scotch shyt with his feet. His pops should take him to another gym, probably robert and get him to work on the jab and how to work on a better inside game since hes small. Idk who really excells in inside fighting training though
