Bane was a plot twist away from being a GOAT villains

naw his motivation was different as well. Bane was in no way a anarchist. If anything he would wanted Gotham to remain as corrupt as possible and upheld the status quo that was there before batman. Bane in comics would not join the league of shadows.

Destroy the world there is money to be made.

The dark Knight got the joker right though.

But at one point in the comics Bane was set to join the League Of Assassins and was set to marry Talia until Batman beat him and Ra's threw him in the bushes. But you're right....his motivations and reasonings were a lil off compared to the comics.....

Honestly banes whole swagger and speeches put him pretty high in favorite movie villain category. I find myself not only looking up his scenes on YouTube often, but saying lines like

"It doesn't matter who we are, what matters is our plan."

"Theatricality and deception are powerful agents to the uninitiated... but we are initiated, aren't we Bruce?"

"You fight like a younger man, with nothing held back. Admirable but mistaken."

Lot of Bane lines and scenes are stuck in my head too.

Guy in suit: "What's going on? WHERE'S BANE!"

Then later on in the scene.

Guy in suit: "No, stay here I'm in charge."

*Bane lays his hand on the guys shoulder* "Do you feel in charge?"

Then a part during the first Batman vs. Bane fight, Batman is getting choked by Bane and he says "You were excommunicated...by a gang of psychopaths." Bane pauses for a second and then hits Batman with a quick 2 hit combo to the ribs. "I AM the League of Shadows."

Thing that kinda stayed on my mind though:

at Bruce trusting Catwoman again after she locked him in a room with Bane. I can't trust you after that, especially after what Bane did to him. Doesn't matter if she came back and saved him. I would NOT be sitting at a table with you enjoying dinner after you tricked me into going inside a room with Bane waiting for me.

Take out Talia from the movie, give him a better motive for attacking Gotham (No Ra's Al Ghul/League of Shadows Bullshyt), and give him a more epic death and In my opinion he goes down as better than the Joker

Nolan's films are grounded with a certain sense of realism, he had to take liberties with a character like Bane to make him fit well in this universe.

But no, not better than the Joker.

I felt 8, again, so, I saw no problem with the movie

Then, I rented it...

bane in the comics was defeated once by bruce and then never heard from again, well from what i gather he should have just stayed gone and make a comeback like the nolan bane.

he looked cool for a little while but now it looks like he works for AAA wrestling
