Have an opinion an entity doesn't like and have your ability to buy and sell cancelled, because you have no option for cash, brehs.

China is literally the model. Their doing it right now. Yall thinking on an individual level, and not whole society wide.
The banks already have your money and companies don't pay cash.money isn't backed by anything.

The illusion being safe is all you need huh?

Anybody not in the banking industry who stands for this clearly understands nothing about money...Governments and banks have been trying to do away with paper because it's harder to track and tax...

If I hand you 1000 dollars right now, the government has no idea that transaction took place...As long as you don't deposit it in a bank, they'll never know you had 1000 dollars from me...That 1000 is income which they can tax if they know about it...

Likewise if you go out and spend that money, that's 1000 dollars the bank doesn't have in its system for its bankers to gamble with...

If I electronically transfer 1000 dollars to you, the government has a trail and the bank has the money...Same thing with credit cards, Every time you swipe that card it leaves a trail for big brother...

That's why I'm strictly cash...

is there a topic more effective in displaying cognitive dissonance and blatant self-aware hypocrisy, than when talmbowt technology's allotted "conveniences"?

-bubu republicans don't care about poor folks.......bubu we should be cashless because there's no excuses for not having a bank account in 2019

-bubu
illegal immigrants are just trying to seek work to take care of their family........bubu who cares about jobs being automated, people should learn a new trade

-bubu
Trump is a fascist, we need to stop him.....bubu Facebook, YouTube and Twitter are private companies, they could/should use ambiguous user agreements to suppress offensive speech

-bubub
it's wrong Muslim communities are being monitored to thwart terrorism ........bubu who cares about Alexa helping Amazon to eavesdrop or Samsung smart tehnology's eavesdroping, they're providing a helpful service

-bubu
greedy and elitist rich folks, contributes to the economic division........bubu I brought a shyt load of bitcoins recently because greedy elitist are marketing/pricing it as a must have, not because it offers a unique service

...all comes about when prioritizing upholding narratives so to wield/brow beat/manipulate
over seeking practical solutions to problems

To understand WHY Bitcoin will do well you have to understand that it's success so far is farrrr from organic.

"THEY" NEED BITCOIN TO HERD THE PUBLIC INTO FEELING COMFORTABLE WITH 100% DIGITAL CURRENCY.

It HAS to prosper. So yes, you have to understand what "they" want for the planet in order to feel easy purchasing it. "They" won't let it fail.

At some point, central banks will begin to hold baskets of cryptos. This is how nations will REALLY lose sovereignty btw. Legitimacy will be added when they eventually allow cryptos on Forex. Eventually I'm going to guess you will be able to pay your taxes in certain cryptos. All liberty is lost under such a system.

But central banks are essentially a function of nation states, so I don’t see how sovereignty is lost.

It also depends on the consensus algorithm for creating a block. Controlling the hash rate will be the road to power under your scenario. In the case of bitcoin, controlling the hash rate is a function of electrical supply and computing power, which the dod would be happy to utilize

Gang violence...
i personally hate using cash but i still think it needs to exist. people still need ways to at least buy necessities without "an account". there will always be poor and marginal people who have a hard time getting access to banking that isnt exploitative (rush cards, anyone?). also, i do think that some "illegal" activity may be warranted under some circumstances and in that case, of course cash is best.

i actually think for those reasons it is probably impossible to permanently get rid of analog value. people will start finding a way, even if it has to be cigarettes, LOL
