Celtics looking like a playoff team😂🤣 Joe Mazzulla top 3 coach in the league.

I’m ngl if we can swap Simons for a competent center and Tatum is 80% of the player he was pre-injury there’s not a team in the East I think we’re incapable of beating. I’m not approaching a series against Detroit or Miami thinking the Celtics are in over their head. But those are huge IFs

But that says more about the conference. Lot of solid teams but don’t think there’s any true elite contender.

I just don't think the Celtics want to tank. The way they are competing in games tells me the opposite. Plus with the new owner, he most likely wants to have his first year here be competitive and the team be a playoff team

Came into the season fully expecting (and honestly hoping for) a tank and a shot at a top-3 pick… but Jaylen and the squad clearly have zero interest in that plan.

Mazz has these guys playing hard every single night. Really liking the growth from Walsh — dude is always dialed in defensively, making those hustle plays that never show up in the box score but absolutely matter. I still think we gave up on Nesmith too early, and now he’s thriving as a role player. Walsh has a similar profile and I could see him developing into that kind of piece.

Hugo brings a lot of the same energy, but with a smoother offensive game. Would love to see him get more minutes too.

And about all the Simons trade talk — I get the reasoning, but he’s instant offense off the bench. Not sure how the cap situation shakes out, but he’s the type of guy we’ll need not just this year, but especially when Tatum comes back next year and we make a real run in the post season.

My issue with Simons boils down to the fact that he’s basically unplayable if his shot ain’t falling and he’s streaky to begin with :manny:

He’s also just the guy in the rotation that’s the most expendable. We need another competent center more than another scoring guard. Healthy JT and Pritchard can go back to being 6th man

Healthy Porzingis for Simons would perfectly fit this squad but KP plays 3 games and sits another 2. Even without JT they’d be top 3 in the east.

Absolute facts breh. There was a good 10 min stretch during the Minnesota game where he couldn't get his offense going, and looked so clueless on what to do on the court. When he doesn't have a 1st step on the person guarding him, he just malfunctions or something lol
