Unfortunately if you're a black politician and want to be successful in politics you kind of have to be, lest you be typecast as an angry thug or something.
If he hated Biden that much I doubt he'd have chosen him as his VP.

Hate is a strong word. He needed a milquetoast dem for the rust belt cacs. But they were never close. Biden thought Obama was a lofty procrastinator while Obama thought he was...Biden. He told him to fall back in 2016(and Warren didn’t want to run or be Biden VP)and he only came out for Biden when Harris, Bootyjizz, and Warren flopped. When Sanders looked like a real threat Obama made everyone drop and coalesce around Biden
