These guys cater to a segment of the population that is being phased out(working class whites) that would rather be mad at black people than do anything to improve their lives or country.
I think this is oversimplifying things quite a bit. They are also speaking to, and supporting, a power structure that has historically maligned a group for centuries. I get what you're saying, but you're definitely being overly dismissive to a fault.

I can say the same thing about the left media controlled by the same majority shareholders. The 'maligned group' should not have outsourced their politics to the democrats then - The same practice that Malcolm warned against in Ballot or the Bullet.

Now you're just trying to control the debate, and indicting democrats into a topic concerning far right conservative racism (and through those efforts accuse me of "blind support"). Thats the motive. Its political, just like I imagined from jump. Since you identify with right wing narratives, a topic where their collective idiocy, which powers policy and republican group think, is on full display is igniting cognitive dissonance within you. So you want to quiet those feelings, by quieting the debate and trying to convince others insulting rhetoric like this is meaningless.
LBJ passed the most important piece of legislation aimed at improving the dignity of Black Americans. Some offhand comment surely isnt going to change that. Funny how mr "its not really that serious" prioritizes a statement, over meaningful policy.

They are still doing the same thing. The best member of Congress is Bernie Sanders. I never group-think, because I dont believe in groups of people. I believe in individuals. I don't want to live in a world in which individualism is dead.
If Barack Obama had run as a moderate republican( I consider him a moderate democrat) would you think differently of him?
The political game in this country is basically zero-sum at this point. As long as poor whites and christianity are the majorities in this country we will never see progress. We need moderates to get in office. Obama and Booker need to be the template for democrats and Christie needs to be the template for republicans.
