Usually 2 guard on top with a low bald fade on the sides. I do have wavy hair without a du-rag. So that could be part of it. But I think the haircut would look nice no matter the grade of hair.

@duck what is a barber college like? What are the haircuts like?

Honestly not bad. All the teachers there are master barbers, and train them right.

And during the cuts the teachers are walking around observing and critiquing everything. These student get graded here, the they take the time to do everying right. My last few $5 cuts have been just as good as any $30 cut ive wasted my money on

That last part really the kicker. Folks be charging a premium and then get you a subpar customer service. I went to get a retwist last week. shyt is 110 to begin with so one would expect a good service. This shop has 4.9 rating mind you.

I book online. Get there 15 minutes early shorty still doing another breh hair end up waiting a hour past my appt, she style a bytch in front of me and I couldnt even walk out cuz I got my hair washed as I waited. Then she on the phone while she doing my shyt with her sneaky link.

I used to work in cosmetics as a practitioner. I know what good service is supposed to look like. The professionalism of most shops is seriously lacking and its a big reason I aint step foot in one for almost a decade. A lot of these barbers/hairdressers high key act like they doing YOU a favor
