If Im visiting my pops and I get a cut, i go the barber school down the street...6 bucks. Most recent haircut came from there and its the best cut i’ve received in a while.

Had to leave my barber of damn near half my life for that shyt. As far as I knew it was $17 and I always gave $20 for tip. That was my dude from childhood to adulthood but as I got older he got a lil shaky, goin ghost and acting a lil too new about shyt. All of a sudden it was up to $25, so what, I'm tipping to give $30? Nah. It was out my way too since he was up in my old neighborhood where I grew up. Had to let it go.

Dominicans right around the corner charge $15 and appreciate the shyt out the $20 and cut me better. All types of oil and shyt, give me beer and shots and shyt too and don't be on no bullshyt.

Barbers are forming co-ops with competing shops and agreeing to up the prices of cuts.

I live in a small town and this ny cat who had a failed shop in the mall cliqued up with a grip of local barbers and had them change the cut prices. shyt was 12-15, now its 20-25 plus.

Had to make a business decision and drop my old rican barber...Just found some brothers in the same plaza as my gym who'll cut my shyt for 15...

I don't go to the barber often only in the summer. I can maintain my hair in the winter by myself. I cut my hair for 10 years straight until recently.

In NY I was paying 10 bucks with 2 dolla tip from 97-2005. Moved to the DMV and shyts been inconsistent ever since. Met a young barber out the barber college and was still giving dude 25 bucks while everyone was giving him 5. Now dude gotten type big and the last cut I got from him, he said it's gonna be 30. Even after he came out the barber school, I've been giving him 30. So I'm like

Went back to my ole head barber and he charged me me bucks and didn't push my line to behind my ears. I gave him 30 but he asked for 20 and best thing off all, I didn't have to wait 3 hrs.
