in case anyone thought the school principal looks familiar, you know her face as the principle of Fenger Academy. The school where Darion Albert was beat to death in a school brawl in September of 2012.

Those unfamiliar with that may know her from that Chicago docu-series Chicago-Land from TNT that ran last summer that she was featured on.

lol at y'alls interest peaking because cac's appear to be co-signing

everything that's wrong with the 'american blacks'

your product aint good enough UNTIL whites give you the thumbs up

brainwashed fools
The white cosign and media blitz makes me not want to see it. :heh: at the obligatory random shot of some black person breakdancing in the middle of a barbershop wth no context in the promo.

Man I saw the movie about week ago and told folk in the film room. It was a good movie, but some folk were still on that I dont want to see a "c00n" movie type shyt.

Anthony Davis.

'President Obama' :mjlol:

Naw them parts were cool :lolbron:
That :obama: look alike wasn't fooling nobody (maybe me) I saw that and said to the person I was with
:shaq2: that's a fukkin look-a-like.

And everytime they showed Nicki I shook my head cause i was tired of seeing her ass, literally. But like u, he too was enjoying it. She's so much better than that :sadcam:

Like in the other two, they had their dance break moment. But this time it was at the end when everything came together & everyone was happy. Oh and that was Common's tall ass spinning around like an extra from Breakin 2: the electric boogaloo.

Good look. I still won't be going to see it tho. I've never be a fan of these barbershop movies. Too stereotypical.

Is Ricky or Jimmy in the movie? I always lover their story in the first movie.
They had Jimmy in 2 scenes, Ricky was replaced with Common.

Then u may wanna wait til this one comes on like BET or something. Cause it's really driving the message of Chicago violence & how it effects businesses and families. There is also the side storyline about the battle of the sexes; how women should be(natural or IG-like) & men (big in alll the right places or just a dude who can bring home the bacon & be there as a husband should be). With a dash of the battle of generations; older folks vs. the younger kids. IE: Kids today ain't shyt; kids & technology

No time for calling out the systematic oppression that is the root cause of all those issues tho(except maybe the generational thing) huh? Early 90s Cube is dead and buried.

Every time Nicki Minaj turned to walk away in that movie, there seemed to be a collective silence & deep inhale around the theater. It was like every guy found a subtle way to quietly go...

...at the same time. :heh:

Pretty solid movie overall. Nice to see Kenya Barris putting in work and it did give me that "Black-ish" feel.

Saw it this morning. It was ok, nothing special. It felt like an after school special with Nicki Minaj ass shots throughout the movie.

I'm not complaining. :shaq:

Ain't no way any movie could be a classic with Tyga portraying a OG. :scust: Movie was straight though, although the "chicago" issues they talk about seemed only really surface level and basic for the most part. But it's Barbershop tho.:yeshrug:

It was official when he gave his stop the violence speech at the end. But look at Ice T, he's been playing a tv cop for like 15 years now.
To me Cube sold out with the first Friday movie. He went from shytting on Hollywood for pushing stereotypes to joining in himself. Ice T was never on that pro black shyt. He's always been just a hustler with no morals. Him playing s cop is a contradiction but he never claimed to be about shyt.
