We only gave up Pat Bev and a bunch of garbage to get CP3 and it was very much worth it. We broke up an already Championship squad to get Barkley’s bum ass & sent us into non contender status the next 4 years after he retired. We had to deal with the years for nearly a decade

Barkley was done by then, so was Dream and Clyde. There window was closed and Houston weren't even considered realistic contenders then. it was Sonics & Jazz for the West and Bulls and....it would've been the Knicks except for that BS "leave the bench" rule.

But I don't hold anything against Chris Paul though. His is more like Barkley's, and this is his last hurrah. His situation is completely different than KD's.

rockets locker room smelled like ben gay in 97. Plus barkley was traded to houston and the rockets had to give up key players off their championship teams in horry and like sam i can sell. It wasn't like these farced lebron kd signings where those teams gave up trast first round picks and money.

Imagine houston in 97 having horry in the starting lineup along with cassel and bringing super mario elie off the bench. They would've been in the finals for sure

yeah the only person morey didn't want to include was trez and clips insisted he be included. oh well.
