Who would you pick if you were starting a team? I know Tim is called the greatest power forward ever but we all know he is really a center. So these two are who I consider the best power forwards ever. Both of them put up some godly numbers in their prime too that were very close. I would choose Barkley because he was more diverse with his offense (having a decent jumper and even pulling from three here and there). Charles was a little more efficient too. He shot less than 50 percent 6 of his last 7 seasons, yet still finished with a 54.1 field goal percentage. Malone was a better defender and scored a couple more points a game but that's all I give to him.

Barkley had the better shoes, but Malone had better numbers and has a ring. He would also beat the shyt out of Barks so imma say Malone

What ring? An engagement ring?

But, anyway, I'd take Malone because with Malone you are guaranteed somebody who is giving you 100% effort at all times and will get the absolute most out of his abilities. For as great as Chuck was, he was often out of shape and even he admits he didn't have the best work habits. I want my best player to be my hardest worker.

That work ethic is the main reason Karl had the incredible longevity he had. It's arguable to me who was better at their absolute best - I could choose either way and accept arguments for either side - but Malone was definitely better for a longer period of time.

And maybe it was the quiet of Utah, but you don't get those off-the-court headaches from Malone that you get from Barkley, either (speaking from the perspective of a team owner).

The majority of the talent pool I would be picking from would be black. So I'd have to go with Chuck off top because Karl is :mjpls:

Charles Barkley by a mile. Malone played for Jerry Sloan and was spoon fed by Stockton. Charles Barkley did literally everything for his teams from blocking shots, getting the rebound, initiating the fast break, setting up other guys and scoring. The only thing Malone was better at was staying in shape. Sir Charles even beat out Malone for the starting PF spot on the Dream Team.

malone averaged about 3 more points, 1 less rebound and .3 less assists over their career averages

neither won a ship

so it's pretty much even :manny: can't go wrong with either but there's no clear choice so don't say "obviously barkley" :beli:
