All items are built to last or as long as possible, some of you get easier to fix because of simpler machinary mixed up with built to last.Material items were built to last back in the day.. that's a fact... and no, no car made in the 2000s will last 50 years.... there won't be a market for it...
all you have to do is study classic cars.... there is a reason why 67/69 camaros, 71 chevelles, 68 Novas, 65 Falcons and those of that ilk fetch 30 to 50 grand(depending on how the numbers matching) pre restoration....
you'll never see that market for a 2014 mustang..... or 2015 camaro........etc...
Cars from today will be around in 50 years, just lieke a few cars from 50 years ago are around today. There will most likely be a collectors market for the cars of the present in the future.
All the cars you listed were once called crap cars and ignored, their value comes from people who are now rich having money to buy them and there only being a limited number surviving in restored or saved condition.
Mitsubishi 3000gts are turning into collector cars, you'll see in the future regular folks cars, like the cars you listed, becoming collectors items.
You'll see it in 2014 and 2015 mustangs when its 2040 or 2045. Again letting nostalgia cloud your evaluation helps no one.
On top of that modern mustangs and cameros are light years better in terms of safety, horsepower, torque, handling, ride quality, amenities, and build quality than the older cars that were sloppily stamped, or even the old hand made brass era cars.
when here's what I said...
