As much as I love physical books, when you traveling and wanna read something there's no better choice than your phone or a tablet.

Not to mention websites where you can get books.....let me stop :mjpls:......it's hard to picture myself getting up in 30 degree weather in NY and going down to B&N for some books, shyt just ain't the wave to me anymore. With that said it sucks those people lost their jobs so early into 2018.

I mean shyt, how quickly do you read books or how many do you need at once? One or two tops should hold down any flight regardless of how long...both ways... and that's before considering most airports sell books as well

The age of social media and google.........people can get any and everything on they phones.....the art of buying a book and reading is ancient as fukk

Crazy. Folks don't know how to read read. Can only imagine all the college kids now having to writing essays mla style, quoting and doing research taking books from the library. They cant do it.

The cool thing about the store was not just popping in to buy books, it was wandering around for hours in all the aisle, take a break and read a mad magazine, and just hanging out with friends there. Main reason I miss the huge Virgin mega stores as well, used to be a required stop when out with my friends on the weekend in San Francisco, borders was the go to out here at town square in Vegas. All gone

I was just telling my wife the other day that I miss going to the book store and sitting down reading some shyt. My son is five years old and into reading - I would love to be able to go spend the entire day with him at a bookstore.

We hang out at books-a-million but it ain't the same.

I always treated it like a library. Never understood how they made money. Expecially with most things being digital. I'd go in there buy a coffee and read one of their magazines (put it back) and leave. I spent more money at the starbucks inside the store than actually in the store.
