As a Cowboy fan for life but with some maturity to me i can finally say that Barry Sanders was a better back than Emmitt. But u just knew in a big game that Emmitt was gonna play his ass off. Couldn't always say the same about Sanders. As far as the lines go i've said it once i'll say it again. The Boys got maybe one HOF player on that line and several Pro Bowlers. While Barry's line wasn't as good he did have at least Pro Bowl lineman on it.

Emmitt could play his ass off in big games because Troy Aikman was his QB, not Scott Mitchell, Dave Krieg, Erik Kramer, Frank Reich (The Bills miracle aside he was a career backup for a reason) or Don Majkowski. Whenever Detroit made the playoffs, they just stacked the line and forced one of those shytty QBs to beat them.

The Sweet Science
That's probably the biggest myth in sports, they had pro bowlers and all pros on that line during his prime and all over the offense(Herman Moore/Brett perrimen)

:comeon: No its not. Its true they had Lomas and to a lesser extent Glover but over all they o line was ass cheeks. It was talked about on a regular basis by analyst as well as players who played for and against the lions and anyone who had working eyes and watched games . Last year the Browns had 2 o linemen in the pro bowl and they were one of the worst offensive teams in football

If every team the lions played didnt have to stack the box to stop Barry then Herman Moore and the likes probably wouldnt even sniff the pro bowl

Love
Barry was one of a kind, shook nikkas, broke annkles, and remained quiet.

My favorite thing about him. Dude would break someone's ankles and score a TD and just walk by them like nothing happened.

Nothing against those that feel the need to celebrate or anything but sometimes when you know yo just sonned someone not saying anything or even acknowledging their presence is oooooh so :noah:

I love doing that to people.

Yet a few weeks ago, he said he had no problem with cts who dance after they score and that he actually enjoys it.

Why do people hold Barry's dancing against him as if it wasn't a byproduct of that gimmick ass run and shoot?

He NEVER danced like that coming out of the I in college.

Barry Sanders' College Days - YouTube

The cut at the :41 second mark.

:scusthov:
let them try to use the dancing as a negative. at times it was necessary due to defenders in the backfield. sometimes he would bypass a 2 yard gain and end up with a loss, but thats dwarfed by how many times he turned sure losses into gains.

Breh, there was no need to show them highlights against the Packers...

Barry is the most classy and best back to ever live. Dude had it all. Some nikkas wanna take away what he did because of his post season numbers but fukk that, dude is undoubtly the best RB of all time.

Wasnt there a story to his retirement that involved with him missing a phone call due to Verizon service being fukked up which made him retire?

All i know is Emmitt was a beast and it just wasn't because of the o line. Even in his last year with the Cards he ran for almost a 1000 yards. And i know aint nobody gonna tell me the Cards had a great line that year.

emmitt's line wouldnt do shyt for barry but get in the way n stop his loss of down avg..

the lions line if u look at the ops' vid..did their job...when he ran the play that was drawn..he broke for huge gains..

most of the time...barry didnt run the drawn plays..he start off runnin the drawn play but ended up usin his vision n doin wha he wanted to...

but he fukked reggie white ass raw at 5:25

nah Barry would have beasted even more behind Emmits Line. The way he 'had' to run in the NFL was totally different than the way he ran in college. Barry was the best at using what he had available.
