Ras easily because he doesn't rhyme bytch with bytch.
Ras easily
Not Even rhyming bytch with bytch?Ras Kass
Never been impressed by Kurupt's bars
And the case can be made that the rapping on "Soul On Ice" is dumbed down slightly from the demo. Demo had more songs where he's spitting crazy like "If/Then".
Yep. Take A Deep Breath, Remain Anonymous, High IQAnd the case can be made that the rapping on "Soul On Ice" is dumbed down slightly from the demo. Demo had more songs where he's spitting crazy like "If/Then".

That's a fact. As great as they are, they are well behind their pops when it comes to lyricism.Exactly. The level Ras was on when he debuted makes it really hard for me to listen to his sons. If Ras Kass was their brother as opposed to being their dad they'd probably have quit. In the end they will likely have more successful music careers than both of their seemingly more talented parents, the world is crazy.
What always threw me off was the stark contrast from 1994-1997 Ras Kass to Rassassination and beyond. He was still very good, but he was never the same after that SOI era. I feel like that album flopping ruined him. They were in their primes at different times.
But bar for bar, Kurupt was never on Ras's level, when it came to solely lyrics. Ras was being compared Nas and Rakim in '96 as a freshmen. That's how dope dude was before he started getting into all of the legal trouble and fell off.
