How is someone that fat a professional athlete?

Looks like someone that was sitting in the stands chugging beers and his seat number was called as a random winner
Because being a pitcher isn't about aerobic fitness, or even agility (though many pitchers are agile and athletic).
It's a position that is more about mechanics, consistency, changing speeds and strategy.
Bartolo Colon hasn't thrown in the high 90s in probably 15 years.
But he's still relatively effective because he can induce a lot of groundballs and he doesn't issue walks.
As a back-end starter, that's about as good as you can hope for.
His numbers will regress though.
