I'm not going to lie, I've always thought so :mjlol:

Can't think of a single time in my life a baseball game on TV has caught my interest. My dad took me to a baseball game once when I was a kid, and it as a fun experience, but the actual baseball game was the most boring part of the experience. But then again I only barely know the rules of baseball so maybe I just lack a passion for the game.

What does TLR say?

Yes. I don't see how the sport was ever popular in America. The potential for endless durations, people standing on bases, hardly any homeruns. The potential for nothing to happen for hours is extremely high.

I don't understand how baseball ascended but soccer didn't.

Baseball the GOAT spectator sport. Nothing like being outside on during a summer evening catching a game.

It's not a game for casuals to follow like basketball and football. I can understand why it's hard to watch on TV especially if you don't understand the game.

I follow the Braves and Dodgers and probably watch 120-130 games between both teams, probably more.

Baseball is better to watch in person but boring as fukk on tv because it's too tedious. Hopefully the new pitch clock rules will change that. The pitcher has 15 seconds to throw the ball with nobody on base 20 seconds with runners on, can only throw over to a base once an at bat.

New defensive rule is the extreme shift is dead no more than 2 infielders on either side of second base and the infielders cannot plot in the outfield before the pitcher throws the ball. This should increase offense. It's bad that it takes a full minute sometimes to see a pitch just for the second baseman can play 4th outfielder and take a base hit and turn it into a ground out. Let the best defensive players be great and get paid for being great.
