There was also a rule that you can’t wear a non team t shirt on the court but did anyone get fined for the I can’t breathe shirts or Luol did he get fined for his Africa shirt? So you agree there's a rule that says they're not allowed to. If Silver wants to change that rule he can, but he hasn't yet.

This. The narrative never got started. It's been all about whether it's wrong or right to kneel from the start.
Because then the focus will be shifted. The whole point is for a marginalized group to raise awareness. If the majority coopts it to just be opposition to Trump then it loses its power. The point was never expression, it was bringing attention. It will mean what it wants for each group. What's wrong with that? It's no less a statement of police brutality on unarmed black men for Kap when a person is kneeling to send a message to Trump.
You see where this is going?
Instead of black lives matter it's all lives matter.
Literally their taking kapernick original purpose out of the equation and make this is a issue about patriotism and what right and wrong.
President Trump is drawing the hest to him and taking it off brutality.
Had Kap's not reached it's peak though? He made his point, and it was effective, but its power dissipated along with his prospects of employment.
The reframing happening right now isn't necessarily a bad thing though. To a lot of people, the mischaracterization of his actions as un-American or anti-military drowned out their true purpose. The current galvanizing happening today is proving those mischaracterizations as such, which is important.
I understand were your coming from breh I just don't agree with you.Because then the focus will be shifted. The whole point is for a marginalized group to raise awareness. I think that's the point you're missing... anytime we bring an issue up it either gets dismissed or grouped with "others.
People always end up latching their problems on to ours. Shyts comical at this point. You'll see tho when the reason why Kaep did it is no longer spoken about in favor of "others
