silver needs to get rid of conferences and just go for the top 16 teams. but what would that do to the ratings if the west coast teams dominate? would the east coast ratings dip?
The familiarity most likely had more to do with it than anything. The Spurs showed they true game in game 7 of that series. The Mavs familiarity with us made them a tougher challenge...plus our bench didn't show up
When the Spurs are at full octane, we cant be faded..

Came in here to say thisHow about how good is Rick Carlisle?

The Mavs roster aint that good. The way the Mavs guarded the pick and roll and switched everything gave the Spurs trouble. It took them like 5-6 games to figure it out
Carlise just had the best gameplan
Yep. That's why I have a tough time watching certain teams with talent.
"Why isn't there better movement from guys off the ball?" "Why doesn't the coach acknowledge that this matchup is a detriment to the team? SWITCH?"
I know coaches work hard, but seeing Pop and Carlisle with their teams makes me question some of the work ethic.
I think the players got to put their ego's aside for coaching like that to really flourishCause the NBA is a players league. Most coaches don't have the respect from players like Pop and Rick does. Bron and Wade shytted on Spo until they won

Basketball is all about matchups.
Mavs really aren't that good, but matchups and a good coach who knows how to maximize them are the difference.

give the opposition no credit when the best coached team in the league plays like dog shyt for a sustained period of time, brehs. As someone who actually watched the series and almost every Spurs game this season....
Spurs played like dog shyt most of the series, they really played some of their worst games of the season that series with horrible turnovers after turnovers. Plus the Mavs were red hot, hitting contested shot after shot. If Carter doesn't hit the buzzer 3 in GM4, Spurs go back home 3-1 and close out in 5. Instead he hits shot and it's extended to 7. Spurs only complete game was GM7 and it was a monumental ass whooping
Again, from someone who actually watched the Spurs this season
