Emphasis on the words in bold.

i'm sure there are some people that are into lil b 'ironically' but the majority of his fanbase is very sincere about liking him and his work

Cool.
You repeated an unsubstantiated claim that has
absolutely nothing to do with Lil B's rapping or writing ability.

Lil B's popularity isn't because he raps well in any capacity.
If anything everyone feeds into the public persona he's built up.
"Lil B" the character has created a club fueled by internet memes
he's spawned himself.

An impressive study of marketing oneself but a mediocre attempt
at being a rapper, especially once he's graded against not only
his peers but those who precede him.
i'm sure there are some people that are into lil b 'ironically' but the majority of his fanbase is very sincere about liking him and his work
I think it's more the former than the latter, many people can gush about
how wonderful a person he is but few would seriously consider him a
nice rapper.
:yeshrug:
Lil B is an example of a joke rapper elevated beyond his station and
the whole liking him "ironically" thing is a perfect example of that.
