real talk though i wouldn't mind playing for a HBCU
:ehh: like playing for Tennessee State University, Prairie View A&M,Southern and NCAT they are D1 and maybe playing for Clark Atlanta which is D2 cause you can see nothing but Black excellence, get your degree in whatever you want to study, most of the time the women at HBCUs be so fine :takedat: and then you can possibly make it to the league or play overseas.

HBCU training facilities are some of the worst I've ever seen and I was at a 'good' one. I'd literally take a 4 hour drive from my school to Duke to get a real sports therapist than let those motherfukkers check me for a mosquito bite.

heaux are heaux

and my high school basketball court was bigger too

I wouldn't have minded playing for NCCU or Howard though.

Isn't where Kenneth Fareid went to school at (Morehead St., I think) an HBCU? :patrice:

Also David Wesley and his boy David Lynch (I think that was his name) who died in a car accident both went to HBCUs. Remember seeing them on that Black Magic documentary a few years back.
Morehead state ain't a HBCU. You thinkng about morehouse

NCCU is in Durham. Up until 5 years ago though or so, I'd say, confidently, that it was nested in one of the worst communities on the East coast. Durham is a shythole. I grew up in it. But they've made huge strides in community outreach and have enlisted the help of a lot of neighboring organizations, schools, and development programs. Its a good story. Back when I was younger, wearing a NCCU shirt would get you shot. Its a EDC neighborhood and being college = you got money + wearing red = I was gonna shoot you anyways.

But they came a long, long ways and I'll humble and say that I'd actually recommend that school to a family member now.
