Like Georgetown, growing up I thought Temple was and HBCU. I also thought Don Cheney was related to Bill Cosby
Yep, I used to think the same exact thing.

I remember when I thought Georgetown was a Black school when I was a kid.....Turned out when I got a little older that school couldn't be anything further from an HBCU![]()
and said the only knee grows at that school were on the men's basketball team
I could've swore when BET was doing them College Hill shows VCU was one of the seasons lol I guess it was another university in VirginiaVirginia commonwealth??? Damn, if you not a cac.![]()

NCCU is in Durham. Up until 5 years ago though or so, I'd say, confidently, that it was nested in one of the worst communities on the East coast. Durham is a shythole. I grew up in it. But they've made huge strides in community outreach and have enlisted the help of a lot of neighboring organizations, schools, and development programs. Its a good story. Back when I was younger, wearing a NCCU shirt would get you shot. Its a EDC neighborhood and being college = you got money + wearing red = I was gonna shoot you anyways.
But they came a long, long ways and I'll humble and say that I'd actually recommend that school to a family member now.
You know exactly what I mean then manNCCU is my Alma matter and I was there from 99 to 03 and it was shythole all 4 years. 2 years after graduating they got all that extra money from the state and that's when they expanded and took down all the shytty dorms I stayed in and replaced them with better ones. I was on campus a few months ago and I get jealous at how good these nikkas got it
I always had the knowledge on NCCU because my home church was right around the corner. Mount Calvary - but I haven't been there in over a decade. Durham is a rough, rough city but sine 2009 or so, maybe a bit after that, they really turned a corner on cleaning up a lot of the problems in that area.

I remember watching Jerome James play for FAMU while going to NCATSU. He was the worst 7 foot player ive ever seen. Our 6'5'' centers were eating him alive so i was shocked when he was drafted into the NBA but you can't teach height

dude was 7'1'' with a good body in the MEAC where average height for centers was probably 6'6'' or 6'7''. He should have been averaging atleast 30 points/15 rebounds imo. He did average around 5 blocks which is what got him drafted in the second round in 1998...I used to think only the best of the best from HBCUs made it to the league
Isn't VCU an HBCU? If so Larry Sanders
He's the nikka that got one decent series and got a big contract from the Knicks right?dude was 7'1'' with a good body in the MEAC where average height for centers was probably 6'6'' or 6'7''.
