I've been in the bathroom's of many a race and they all have washcloths. How does random shyt like this even spread?

That's probably a pet rat, the owner probably trained the rat to shower on its own. You can also train them to do tricks and such

That ain't a rat, it's a pacarana. That's a different family of rodent that moves a lot slower and doesn't have the long ugly tail.

They get up to 30 pounds though.

I don't think it's bathing, obviously some human smeared soap all over it and it's just irritated by the soap and trying to figure out how to get it off.
