If it were me I wouldn't give a shyt if I was part time or half time or a one off appearance. If you tell me I'm getting a certain amount of money and I don't get it, that's an issue.

I love baking. I have a passion for it. But if someone told me they'd pay me a certain amount for a cake and then tried to lowball me, we'd have a serious problem.
