The script earlier in the day called for a Daniel Bryan vs. Batista match but the script had to be changed. Dave Meltzer reported that Batista has agreed to stay through the WWE Payback show but will not be putting Daniel Bryan over. Instead it will be a rematch between Evolution and The Shield.

They usually sign with a downside guarantee. So he knew he was making that at least. Everything else stems from merch, tickets, etc. So my assumption is that he's not pulling in what he figured he was going to pull in on top of his guarantee.

Naw I doubt that it's a merch thing though maybe it's he had to split his mania payday 3 ways plus the money was probably less due to the network . the money being is off like foley said .
