I appreciate the responses. If I can find them this should keep me busy for a while. For the longest I thought DC was kinda 
but when I look back, the Dark Knights and this new Batman V Superman tone is so much better. Way more dialogue, too. The marvel universe might take an L if DC starts expanding. The only Marvel movie i'm excited about is the Civil War movie. Hopefully it's a little more intelligent than the avengers movies.Can't believe it wasn't mentioned - The Dark Knight Returns, especially that second parttrying to get into the dc universe animated movies. Should I start with the first one ever created because they all tell a story or should I start with the gems?

Start with the gems that @Renkz posted (I would also include Mask of Phantasm and The Dark Knight Returns with that list as well) then watch the newer ones like Justice League: War in order.
