but why waste resources doing it 2 different ways?...ps4's perceived advantage maybe a double edged sword in a way, not being able to realize its full potential....since ps4 has more raw power 3rd party devs may not be as concerned as optimizing the game on that plat form, since with mediocre code it theoretically can still produce gfx on par to that of the xbox one...why waste extra resources on a platform where games generally don't sell as well? (as per last gen)

just random thoughts :ld:
Microsoft DirectX, get it now? :beli:
Sony uses direct x 11 but they gotta improve on that shyt cause Microsoft gonna keep 11.2 in house of course limiting that shyt to the horrendous windows 8, ence openGL for Sony.

Every dev has come out and said PS4's devkits are way easier to work with, no limitations and crippling rules. Plus they got them 6 months earlier than XB1 devkits. So, better hardware and better dev kits, what a else a nikka wants?
Naughty Gawd ordered 120 more the other day :mjpls:

for the code to be at least as optimized as the competition....or is 'optimize' another buzz/marketing word? :yeshrug:

I don't care about BF4, but i'm interested to see how the xbox/ps version compare to one another...

Exclusives is how we will compare shyts, multi plats get downgraded to find common ground so one doesn't look better than the other, unless one is tottally shyt :patrice:

quick google search shows it is :leon:

Oh lookey here, one of those mysterious Direct X complaint cards (which is pretty much 99.999999% of the x86 market) is actually on the PS4! :leon:

But hey, as you said, only DirectX complaint cards will be optimized. :lolbron:

You still don't know what the fukk you were talking about. :umad:

...but it still doesn't seem to be getting the 'optimized' treatment that the PC/Xbox 1 version of BF4 and that was my point from jump... :umad:
less efficient coding...reminds me of last gen :mjpls:

MS is paying for that "less efficient" coding. When it comes to reality, the PS4 build would run faster than the XB1 if not for politics. :manny:

CAN YOU BELIEVE THESE DUDES STILL TRYING TO SPIN LIES INTO WINS :deadmanny:
What makes you think the GPU in the PS4 isn't Direct X compliant? I'll wait.
Sorry bruh, but sony been lying for so damn long. Its now too easy to see when they lying. Its all about the wording. LIke the used game policy "we don't block games on a system level" does not mean they don't block games :hula:
In this case, you are using the word "compliant" so that you can try to pass that off as "compatible" which is not the word actual developers would use. Don't believe me?

For the PS4 staff, the task facing them looked rather onerous, with the developer taking on a massive codebase generated by an entirely separate studio, the initial aim simply to compile it on the new Sony hardware and try to get some kind of image on-screen.

"We started off with a large codebase - there were about 12,000 source files. And we started with a 64-bit Windows version of the engine using D3D11," says Reflections' expert programmer (yes, that is an actual job title), Dr. Chris Jenner.

"It's important to start with a 64-bit version because obviously the [PS4] hardware is 64-bit so it's nice to get those 32-bit/64-bit issues out of the way before you start worrying about the platform specifics. The initial aim of our work was to get the PS4 version to feature-parity with the Windows version."

Sony has made a big deal about the accessibility of the PS4 hardware, and a key element of that would be the quality of the toolchain - the series of programs used to create compiled code. For the PS4 developers, the use of the established Visual Studio environment proves to be a key benefit, and the extent to which Sony has acknowledged and supported cross-platform game-makers is self-evident. There are even options within Sony's compiler specifically added in order to increase compatibility with the Microsoft counterpart used in compiling DirectX 11 games

A more crucial issue is that, while the PS4 toolchain is designed to be familiar to those working on PC, the new Sony hardware doesn't use the DirectX API, so Sony has supplied two of their own.

Or I could link to you the countless number of Direct X11.1 and 11.2 articles that talk indepth about how its only for Windows 8 and XB1 but hey. You failed, but at least you tried to spin into "we do got it!!!" :stop:
+ openGL can do all that shyt anyway, same shyt different name. :ld:
Look, I am well aware of what openGL is, the idea of it/etc. But how is that working for you?
Are videogame developers going "openGL it is" or are YOU SAYING THAT?
The proof is the the games, the link I provided, here let me post it again

Developers are using Direct X. PC is the lead platform this gen, PC/Windows/DirectX = the future of gaming
Sorry if this revelation that I been screaming about for months now is finally starting to set in :win:

11.2 brings Tiled Resources. And unlike what you will say is similar by openGL the difference is one actually works while the other is just at the "theory" stage :lolbron:
Realize that Tiled Resources comes into play in 2014, yes, 2014. What you see today graphic wise is NOTHING compared to what will happen next year. Halo 5 is gonna make Killzone look like Halo :krs:
I'm not over here hoping, I KNOW IT WILL. Only people who could say otherwise are ppl who never seen it in action...

Bruh, why are you just blurting out every bit and piece of info you heard over the months and acting like you know anything. Everything you said means nothing. Games don't look better on PS4, its more of the opposite right now. Actual people are like "Forza >> DriveClub" while you go "Well a article from a long time ago said PS4 had better :sadbron:"
SuperDae said Xbox One games looked and played better, even way back then :umad:
Exclusives is how we will compare shyts, multi plats get downgraded to find common ground so one doesn't look better than the other, unless one is tottally shyt :patrice:
Funny, cuz 360 games looked and played better than PS3 multiplats for the first 3yrs of its life
But here you are basically saying they can't do that.
The Xbox OG had waaay better graphics than the PS2, which also contradicts your stance on parity
Maybe Microsoft is allowed to and sony isn't I guess. Good for us :boss:

He's not Dice he's youtube poster :snoop: Your comprehension is terrible! I know never to send my kids to GT. I said show me a Post or tweet where DICE said it. Not a youtube poster.
Well thank you sir for posting that video. Smooth3D already destroyed this thread with his post tho
First off, where in your video does it say its a different build

Now for your sake, lets hope it isn't a new build. Why? Did you look at smooths video?
Look at the PS4 video, look how muddy everything looks. Its not polished. The colors look saturated on everything
Xbox, the colors pop more. That is very clear and apparent that the xbox one version looks better.
Of course we all expect them to be similar if not identical when its all said and done

But DICE/EA themsleves said the xbox one version will be more polished. And now we got video evidence of that.

Maybe you forgot they said that, so let me re-re-refresh your memories

Now who you gonna believe, Rekkac00n and the butthrt 3cepts? Or the fukking makers of the game and your own lying damn eyes :bryan:

They haven't optimized the code yet they said. That why no pics can be taken at this time.

Let post the whole thing shall we:

This is not confirmation, but I guess in Sony land I guess this is fact. :smh:

P.S. To add insult to injury Dice confirmed his 1st tweet, now I guess Dice is lying too. Pathetic!

I agree wholeheartedly , The smoothness and increased details and effects.
