the OPEN beta was just that. open for everyone

beta ended at 4am Eastern today and wont open back up till 4 am eastern 8/14

The app seemed to be forcing me to pay to continue

So how do I play?

I hope you're really not this slow. Read his post. He told you when the beta starts again. 8/14 4am eastern time is when you can play again. You just missed the first weekend.

Just open the battlefield 6 open beta app after that time and date and you will be able to play.

I downloaded the beta
It then brought me to a screen asking me to pre-order
Okay fine, so I purchased the phantom edition, it was fukkin expensive

Now where do I go to play the beta?
The main screen still asks to pre-order, so when I click on pre-order again it just gives me a countdown of number of days left until launch

U don't need all that is open for everybody just download the beta and wait for next weekend.

U only need labs/twitch invite codes to play last Thursday and Friday.
Saturday/Sunday was open for everybody who downloaded the beta same for next Saturday/Sunday.

its not gon let you play until you buy one more copy for a friend.. thats the whole point of the beta. Just to make it quick you can buy me a copy so we can see if it went thru.
