Nah. Boots to ground unnamed soldiers shooting/blowing shyt up in a PTSD enducing war scenario.
COD has turned into an MMORPG to the point where it would be absurd for me to say that the possibility of being shot at in an abandoned playground by Devin Booker in a Tuxedo and Coach Buzzcut from Beavis and Butthead while dressed up as a Gecko that made Willie Nelson's vice it's entire existence is something you wouldn't believe lest you experienced it yourself.
Even though I love my Beavis and Butthead skins, the game has definitely been oversaturated with too much outlandish content that took away from the grit and seriousness the series has definitely traded for profit.
So, yeah, None of that in Battlefield, but it's definitely a game you've got to adjust to if you've never played one or was stuck in the COD universe for too long.
Like you gotta learn how to shoot the guns of the class you choose and learn how to use that class to it's strength rather than become some one man army like COD promotes.
There's a bit of a learning curve, but when you get the hang of it, you'll have what I'll arguably call one of the best mainstream FPS experiences of your life, prolly. Battlefield 1, I played for years until the servers fell off 'cause I loved it so much and that isn't even the best Battlefield according to those that love it.
Nah, no skins or silly costumes. Just honest to goodness military shooting.
Takes a bit to learn, but it's a rewarding experience once you've gotten the hang of it.
This game is monetized don't get it twisted. Both the Tombstone preorder pack and Phantom Edition have weapons that have attachments already unlocked just like some of the weapon blueprints in COD.
How do I know? Cause when I started playing I played with default weapons and forgot I had the Tombstone blueprints. Once I found out and started using those weapons my kill count doubled or tripled! My K/D in the positive now.
I bet them phantom edition nikkas KD even higher. This some Pay-to-Win shyt.

By level 7 or 8 I had guns that are better than the pre-order bonus guns. That’s definitely not indicative of a “pay to win game.” Battlefield isn’t the game of broken guns and meta rotations every other week. The teams that will win consistently are the ones that know how to play their selected role/class. It’s crazy how many matches we’ve won just because we had medics that actually revived everyone, snipers that actually spotted enemies, and engineers that actually focused on destroying tanks. In this game, I feel like most of the time the gun in your hand is secondary to your actual role and how you’re using your class skills to support each other. It almost feels like something similar to Overwatch at times when everyone is locked in doing what they’re supposed to.
I keep getting the same 3 maps that weren't in the beta.
Overall is pretty fun. I love murking troves of dudes with the tank machine gun. A good driver will get you mad kills. Snow day game when you cant leave the crib this game will keep you occupied.
Put in some major work all Saturday on this. I ran a ton of Support, and by far my biggest pet peeve so far is impatient teammates respawning before you can revive them. If they are far away, cool, understandable. But I lost count how many times I would run over to a downed teammate, and they would skip the revive and opt to respawn while I'll literally next to them, and they still have 75% of their respawn timer left. I'm assuming these are CoD players still getting used to BF, but fukk that shyt happened all day.
feels more like cod than battlefield to me. small, tight maps, it seems like there are less vehicles than previous bfs. menus are confusing and slow…i think we may start seeing pink mohawks and sonic the hedgehog skins in a year
