"Battling" or "beefing" Drake is pointless.

Nah ..the fans may not care ..but DRAKE definitely Does ... That shyt affects him because the nygga may not show it, but he suffers from low self esteem. He wanna be down but he Ain't, and that shyt kills him low-key.

:yeshrug:
yeah he def. cares. He wants to be taken seriously in this rap shyt. He wants to be Hov, Jay, Pac, Push, even budden in respect to lyricism, emceeing. Only reason he got mad about Joe's opinion on his album and wrote paragraphs on how joe's a podcasting loser.

he career is built off showing he has low self esteem...that's prob why he has so many stans...they seem themselves in him. they think since they got low self esteem too, that maybe, just maybe they can pull a drake and become rich/famous/desirable.

I, for one, welcome our new space overlords.
If half of Americans can still vote for Trump after he almost caused a civil war, i'm not surprised millions of goofies still ride for Drake.

The guy is a corporate product of rap commercialization. An amalgamation of all the best bits of Hip Hop's talented risk takers, rolled into one big and untouchable brand in Drake. Protected by the best suits, lawyers and affiliated media to make money. When you've been chosen like that, you just choose your sound and all will be done for you.

It just shows that arguments and credibility have no impact in today's social landscape. People made up their minds long before and it won't change:manny:

Facts. Drake was the goofy nerd who nobody took seriously but he could make hits, he was doing well from so far gone to take care but then he became something he was not, he was obviously the bullied kid who now got some clout and fame and decided he wants to sneak diss and shyt on everyone of the "cool kids" even if they are his peers (like smashing Wayne's girl while he was in prison) because he been on some revenge of the nerds shyt, eventually life will humble you when you living in a disguise that everyone can see thru. He like Nick Cannon in Love Don't Cost A Thing

That’s not true tho

Only :flabbynsick: and dudes from the past generation think like that. This ENTIRE generation look at Drake as one of their GOATs.

In your head you want to believe that people don’t respect him but the subset of people that actually believe that or think that way is tiny compared to the his overall audience.

Dude is massive on a completely different level than Pac, Jay and Biggie. You are REALLY underestimating how popular Drake is. You gotta get outside of your “hip hop heads” bubble. That shyt is niche

tell that to your hero.

why he write joe a book on how much richer he was, if he didn't care what he thought about his album? Also funny drake went that route with it, cause he knows he couldn't out bar budden.

Drake wants hip-hop respect...this is why we're at this junction. If he didn't give two shyts about it, he'd stay doing his pop records.

You know who else they see as Goats?

Taylor Swift..Beyonce ...Nicki Minaj too .

They all share similar fans.

And nyggas in HipHop gotta play nice with him when they really don't like him so they can make money with him, they don't respect that Nygga.

It’s not about ending his career in this battle.

It’s about damaging the perception of Drake’s place in rap history and it’s working accordingly.

Just like how Drake hurt Meek’s rap persona using the momentum of social media…the same thing is now happening to Drake.

He will move on from this and still be successful because he’s Drake.

But this battle hurts his legacy in the history books especially due to whose siding with Kendrick vs whose siding with Drake in the industry.

Crazy thing is Kendrick Lamar was the only rapper able to pull this off so him deciding to do it is historical.

You are right they do share fans. Rap fans are made up of mostly young white males lol. Kendrick and Drake share the same fanbase, literally all popular rappers do.

The point is, this battle and what hip hop culture thinks has little to no impact on overall legacies. To the average fan this is just some fun shyt happening and then they forget about it and move on when the next hit drops.

This generation will consider Drake a GOAT whether we like it or not. Just gotta accept it.

Drake moves like Jay at this point…

If I was him, I’d settle down and find a Beyoncé and start investing his paper into some different business ventures because the writings on the wall. His days are numbered.
Drake has no fundamentals or instincts like Jay. Having it easy early comes with a price. Now he thinks he's a bad bytch and tries to cop swag from teenagers at 37 years old. He'll transition into Aubrina before he gets his shyt together like Jay.
