Bay Area brehs, would it be insane to move to The Bay without a job?

Considering doing this next year, but I have nothing lined up.

I've had phone interviews for a handful of places there, but nothing ever materialized and I'm sure not being near the area had a lot to do with it.

I know it's the most expensive place in the country and money would go quick there. There always seem to be jobs around there I'm qualified for when I look on Indeed.

Any advice?

I did that with my ex years ago. SOMEHOW it worked out- we were both employed within a month....It was seriously the dumbest thing we could do looking back at it- even with me having a good resume and him a law degree. we moved to SF with only one month to live off of.

On one hand, I would say DON"T do it..... but It worked out when I did it so......

if you can find work (a real job not some starbucks shyt) within 2 months then consider doing it. but dont expect to get a crib in SF because that $$$ will evaporate.

If you have a choice, you shouldn't even quit a job until you have another one lined up.
Moving is such a tough thing.
When I moved to Southern California, I just took a job transfer within my company. Didn't even miss a paycheck.

And yes, from what I've read, the Bay area is wildly expensive.
Be smart. Don't make big emotional decisions just because you want a change.
