Nah, his opinion is not something most people would agree with. Most people wouldn't tell Steph Curry, "I don't think you should come to our school."
I see more posters calling him a hater than anything else.
Im moreso talking this thread and even if you had this discussion offline it would be more split than dude a hater which he is.

Well its just as baffling that you are missing the point so :yeshrug:. I guess whoever spoke to you when you were younger made you believe so did you become whatever it was they talked about?
how am i missing the point. when you are not listening to the person who wrote the letter. lol.

stop trying to make the letter say what you want it to say so you can refute it.

he never said, THESE KIDS AINT ISH

he said these kids are not going to be nba players and he knows this is the case for 99.9% of them. and even if he's wrong .1 % of the time. he just saved 99.9% of them. what part of that dont you get? answer that first.

these are KIDS. when people come to kids schools kids start dreaming.

when astronauts come thru you start dreaming of being one. when the pres comes thru you start thinking "maybe i could be president." this is a natural thing. and no most kids dont take a ball players visit into meaning i should study hard to become a great student and a great professional in something other than a pro sport. thats not how it usually works. and you know it aint. so why are you acting like this teacher is a liar when he's telling it like it is 99.9% of the time.

if steph came to a job full of adults. then i would agree that adults would interpret it differently. because they have come to grips with reality that they will not be pro ball players. that ship has sailed. but they know they can be better employees or one day own a business, or just do well at business, etc. so they take his basketball approach and apply it to their business lives. KIDS are not good at that yet. thats something you learn when you get older.

i still remember my old hoop coach say basketball is life and life is basketball. i was like what the hell is this old fool talking about. anyway pass the ball... lol

Then the older i got the more i realized he was right. the team work necessary to win is necessary in life(thats at work and at home with your spouse/kids, etc).

you become a bad teammate it can ruined the entire team. we win together, we lose together. you dont get that concept when you're young outside of the actual sport you're playing. thats because most kids are selfish at that age anyway. so you aint thinking about others like that yet.

I think it's for the best that Steph Curry doesn't gas these kids up. I know I was dumb as fukk in high school and thought I was gonna be a rapper or something.

You don't have to say something exactly to imply something. That's how that quote reads. Why can't people be steph curry though? Not everybody of course but you act like this nikka created Microsoft and that most people really think they making the league. Some people are funny like that where y'all see nothing but kids that want to be ballers/entertainers and that's all. I don't live this reality but this is also a place where billionaires all drive priuses so yeah I can't relate to shyt that passes as normal to some on here.

This is a major problem in our schools. Teachers belittle athletics and constantly tell kids they can't be a professional athlete, instead of encouraging them and telling them it can be a tool to get you to college and, perhaps, with a lot of hard work, even further.

This is why most city districts nationwide require coaches to be teachers, instead of hiring qualified volunteers. They don't value athletics as a tool, so they let some history teacher who can't catch a ball or draw a play, sit on the bench and collect extra money while the kids get embarrassed. A lot of suburban districts nationwide destroy city schools because they value athletics and pour money into them. Yeah, I see what this guy is saying but it's way too much of this nonsense in our schools.

I didn't say or imply these kids aren't shyt either so take your own advice and listen to what I posted instead if switching it up for your benefit. 99.9% of kids know they aren't going to be in the league only you funny style cats on here run into a bunch of the 0.001% that all want to be ballers but have no chance.
