If auburn beats alabama they will pass baylor

If they then lose the sec title game to missouri then MAYBE this has shot but not really because missouri will have beaten the then #2 or #3 team in america, and be sec title holders with one loss. Expect a screwjob, putting fsu vs sec champ NO MATTER WHAT.

Baylor and ohio state are dead already, they just don't know it.

So what will have to happen for OSU to get in?

We keep forgetting how much it takes for the voters to be outweighed by computers in the bcs. Its almost impossible. At the end the biased fukking coaches will say "ehhh, fukk baylor or osu, the sec champ deserves a shot" and a one loss auburn or missouri will get voted two in the last week.

Oregon wouldve squashed that influence, but theyre done.

The fix is in
I actually wanna see Mizzou in the championship. I would've bet the house that they were gonna beat SC :snoop:

to me...in this current situation and with the schedules...its damn near impossible. But if

Bama loses to LSU
Auburn loses to Georgia
Baylor loses to Okla State, Texas or Ttech
Stanford loses
then OSU is the only team left :yeshrug:

Even then Mizzou would deserve the nod IMO if they beat Texas A&M.

I am not hating or biased at all when I tell you it is almost impossible.

Alabama losing
AND
Baylor losing
AND
Florida state losing
AND
Stanford being very unimpressive through the stretch
AND
You destroy Michigan State in the B1G title ame
AND
The sec champ being auburn or missouri

Your only hope (again this how i expect the voters to behave) is auburn beats alabama and then loses to missouri, fsu loses, and baylor loses...AND stanford doesnt leapfrog you.

Its not happening lamont. There is no shame in being an undefeated 2 year straight team with a rosebowl win.

:wow: You don't know shyt.

If FSU and Bama stay undefeated, OSU won't get in. Everyone knows that. OSU will be third if that happens. But a loss will always skew the rankings in the BCS more towards a team without a loss, or with fewer losses. That's the way the formula works.

Stanford will not jump OSU with a loss to 4-5 Utah. 4-5 Utah! They lost to this team, and now they will jump an undefeated team? nikka please.

Mizzou, as much as I like them, is done in the race. They are 8th currently, they have no room to jump.

Baylor has beaten one ranked team so far.

Auburn is 9th, they have no room to jump to the top 2. Are you serious? They have beaten one ranked team as well.

You don't want OSU in there, I know that. Your justification for why they have literally no shot to get there is laughable. Stop it.

Fam, the biggest chunk of "the formula" is the voters. The voters ARE GOING TO SCREW YOU. I say this with a clear mind, i heard TODAY on cbs a guy with an AP vote saying stanford deserves to be higher than ohio state.

I'm legitimately attempting to manage your expectations. If the coaches go into the booth with one undefeated florida state OR baylor, an undefeated osu, and a one loss sec champ of either bama, auburn, or missouri, you're screwed. You will not get the votes in week 14.

I actually DONT like it. Its bullshyt. Stanford might not pass you now but the second bcs title spot comes down to you all and any of the oneloss teams I mentioned, the coaches will screw you over.

I dunno man, defeating Oregon MIGHT...MIGHT be enough to get Stanford to leap OSU. At least it should be :(

I've heard multiple people on TV today talk about how Stanford's horrible loss will doom them for championship consideration. That means that the growing sentiment is that after the caught-in-the-moment feeling of boosting Stanford after they beat Oregon, they remembered that they lost to a team under .500. OSU was punished in 1998 when we lost to .500 MSU when everybody knew we had the best team in the country that year.

The SEC isn't that powerful to just have Auburn or Mizzou jump Stanford, let alone OSU, if they beat Alabama. The SEC is very average this year.

And quite frankly I'm just not worried about Baylor. They will lose.

@MustafaSTL @lamont614

Take a look at this, and i dont mean to badger or insult, but knowing the bcs system is key when saying "no way xyz happens"

I. Harris Interactive Poll (1/3rd)
II. Coaches Poll (1/3rd)

So, 2/3rds are just people pulling strings.

III. Computer rankings (1/3rd)

You cant move the needle from 3 if the harris and the coaches vote you below 1 or 2. System just doesnt work like that.

Right. Losing to 4-5 teams, whose only conference victory was against they very Stanford team we're talking about, means nothing. This is hilarious. There are some people that will say that because they have an agenda not to put OSU in the game for personal reasons, but no team deserves to be in the championship game losing to bad teams. Just look at OK St. back in 2011.

A team that beat UCLA, Oregon #2OREGON, and Az State has a much better sched than OSU. The hardest match it had was against 4-5 Northwestern breh :laff:

Northwestern hasn't even won since I dont think! That cupcake schedule is terrible.

A few people here and there might feel like they want to move OSU down for whatever reason. A few. I don't see how the majority will do so. OSU is in the driver seat for the 3rd position. If LSU makes a second half comeback, OSU will be 2nd.

If OSU was winning too many close games like last year, there would be a better argument. But since OSU is embarrassing teams, the only argument is that they don't think they teams they are playing is that good. But MSU being in the top 10 for the Big Ten title game will go a long way in killing that noise.
