Hiphop isn't the problem, the problem is how its being used by the group that controls it.
My posts and threads come from my LOVE for hip-hop and black people especially, not hatred.
Peace
This was all you needed to say.
As a matter of fact, juxtaposed to your post that I replied to, they say different things.
I'd argue one of the worst things to happen to human empathy is the poor decision of educated people to express the most extreme rhetoric when attempting to help others see their point or in an attempt to find middle ground with the audience said person is attempting to reach.
You and I both know that the rhetoric you used was inaccurate and had no educational purpose. Clearly you've talked about this topic ad nauseum so you knew it would inflame instead of garner mature discussion.
Hip-hop can't be the greatest something and the most vile something to you at the same time. One or the other.
You should be clear about the use of it instead of the actual creation of it being the nefarious ingredient.
With that being said, what say you about my paralleling you're rhetoric with the same misstep that the old civil rights black people had regarding their vile description of an art form that black youth were growing to love and represent them?
Side note:
You're momma thinks you're cool because she's your momma and you put your best foot forward in front of her.
I'm just trying to help a young brother get to the point where if his momma was hit with the Will Smith MIB flash, she wouldn't think he was a spiteful and self-absorbed mouthpiece that *lightbulb* mimics the talking points of white supremacists when it comes to the creations of fellow black people.
By the way, the rapper in the OP has a momma that thinks he's cool, too....Or nah?
Be well.
