To actually be on topic here, I think glass steagall is outdated and reinstating it will never pass.
To your point, the "Volcker Rule" section of Dodd-Frank essentially accomplishes what GS sets out to do but in a 21st century way.
It helps but it still doesn't separate regular banking from investing and insurance which is something like what Warren-McCain was trying to do.

. But you are right. Newspapers are in it to make money. This was just intellectual malpractice going on here. If this is going to be the modus operandi for the rest of this cycle, then we need to find an appropriate name for what this is.
Not saying GS repeal was the cause it but it made things worse for sure, probably even helped kickstart things.
And it's always funny to me with this particular point how people state Europe doesn't separate but with other positions that Europe does it's shot down as "We're not Europe this is America, move there then." Not calling you out there it's just interesting.

Bernie has some great ideas but his team isn't entirely sure on how they would accomplish those goals. He does have his tax plan up and you can check that out for yourself.
Trump has some terrible ideas and has no clue. We're going to build a wall. How? Mexico will pay. How? Uhh
Cruz has some horrible ideas and a little bit better understanding of how he will do it, but I sure as fukk don't want to see it
Hillary has no ideas.. she just want status quo and to play out here legacy as first woman President etc...
