Microsoft has ALWAYS been looking into backwards compatibility. Thats not related to what is going on with sony
Microsoft has a ton of games, and a ton of exclusive games (in the double digits) slated for this year alone
No, they are not in the same boat, not in the slightest. The PS3 delema is being downplayed, while the xbox lineup is being overlooked
But when all those games drop, this bullshyt sentiment won't last. Tho I do expect the usual 3cepts to claim ever game sucks
I mean, Titanfall sucks :laff: So Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, games like that have no chance :heh:

What a comeback :gladbron:

we are sleeping on posturepedics though...brand new ones

i dont see any real release dates on those games

titanfall did not impress me and i played the best version of the demo (PC). it has to be even more underwhelming on a console. it doesnt look like it is moving hardware either. im not even sure it can be considered an exclusive or even truly next gen if it has a 360 version and uses a 10 year old engine

so like i said, taking the fanboy hat off for a moment, both companies are going to try to pad their lineups with old gen stuff for the next year at least since next gen development from the elite companies was so anemic

TitanFall is the most succesful and critically acclaimed new IP in a long time. You can try to add all those caveats to it but if we're comparing the X1 to the PS4 the reality is, it's not on PS4.

Also the current and 2014 lineup of Xbox games seem far better than what's announced for ps4. Including more new IPs not just HD remakes.

You don't like XB1 exclusives even tho they haven't really came out yet :patrice: but you sound like your mind is made up so :mjlol:
The multiplats will not be superior for long on PS4
And its great that you got a baseball game, the least popular sports franchise in gaming... you got it!!!
And while it is a beautiful game, what does any of what you wrote got to do with this threads topic :dwillhuh:

What im saying is I'd rather play a remake of a PS3 game than ANYTHING that is or will be exclusive to the Xbone in the near future :yeshrug:

You can try to downplay it, but not having a SIM BASEBALL game on the One is a glaring issue. Alotta of folks gonna be copping that PS4 just for the The Show alone

titanfall cant be the most successfula nd critically acclaimed new ip in a long time since that belongs to TLOU and even that's not saying much. creation of new ip is at an all time low, and titanfall is partially trading on the legacy of infinity ward and their attempt to create a new COD

after having played both titanfall and second son, i would have to say that i made the right choice

it's not a meaningless caveat if it allows you to play the game without buying an xb1, especially if the best version is not xb1...

this lineup may boil down to gaming tastes, MLB 14, the witness, the order, driveclub, and deep down are probably going to reach an audience different than the core xbox audience. different strokes for different folks

This is where you are incorrect sir.
For starters, you don't really know what Xbox games are coming out, and how they play for you to have a formed opinion of them
I am excited for the lineup, but myself nor anybody else can actually speak on those games yet.
So, you sound like a bafoon saying you want to play a game you already played over a new one.
Sorry if that burst your little funboy bubble :umad:

2.) Sim Baseball :laff: You act like any other console, system, whatever has a dedicated baseball game that people really give a shyt about
It does look good, sure its fun. But baseball games kind of have disappeared. Because when it comes to recreating the little things?
You can't really duplicate that, and you realize its just a timing issue with no real control over the bat
What.. it lets you hold down so you can swing lower? I been doing that since Bases Loaded :camby:
The nuiances don't translate as well in baseball as it does in all the other sports. Lets not act like other "gamers" are jelly over this
With 2K, Madden, Fifa, all the other games in the universe? My backlog gets bigger every month
I speak for every gamer when I say we straight :manny:

First off, TLOU shipped 6mil, it didn't sell 6mil
How the fukk would this game sell more than Uncharted 3.. which didn't sell well
And these PS4 games.. look at that list you named. MLB14, really :rudy:
The Witness and The Order are most likely 2015 titles. DriveClub has basically been cancelled.
Deep Down isn't dropping this year. They barely have any footage of it now, and that looked HORRIBLE

And you are really comparing that to Quantum Break :wtf:
I'm not gonna keep naming all the titles we know that will drop this year on XB1
Why the blatant hate?

do you have numbers on how many titanfall for xb1 exclusively shipped or sold? and in terms of critical acclaim, there is no comparison. there really is no way to undermine the fact that a story driven new ip sold millions on a single platform

the latest technological advance for america's passtime is nothing to scoff at, friend

i could look at any xb1 game without a month listed and say they will drift into 2015. now you are getting off the rails

quantum break looks very boring

what blatant hate are you referring to? i am typing in a respectful and rational tone

To each his own, but y'all go real hard trying to downplay TitanFall but people that have it on any platform usualy like it a lot. It's selling better than gears at this point and it seems to be a very succesful franchise in the making. Already more succesful and critically acclaimed than infamous.

it might be the fact that i have been pc gaming for years now that i view source games in 2013-2014 as $30 games like payday. i will need titanfall 2 to do some major overhauling of everything for me to get interested.

infamous impressed me more, but i can respect where the reviews are tempered by the fact that the gameplay gets repetitive. it's one of the most beautiful console games ever made but its gameplay is a little too simple to carry on like this in any more sequels from this point forward. they might need to add some more rpg elements and get more interesting enemies. ive played the game 3 full times and have all the trophies and i can honestly say i give this game a 8.5. to me, that's fine for a launch year game, but if there is a sequel that sticks too close to this formula, i would doc it down to 7.5, even if it has better graphics. ultimately i am more impressed by it though because it is undeniably next gen. there is no way to present a city like this on ps3/360. now they just need to come up with more stuff to do in the city

If they didnt say what engine it's on you wouldn't know anything. As I said you just look for any reason to downplay the game. Regardless of what engine it's running its taking FPS gameplay to the next level. And it's doing some new and "next gen" things with cloud compute.

On the other hand infamous is just the same as the previous two games (and by some accounts offering less,) with good looking graphics. The city was purposely limited in order to push graphics. It's not very impressive compared to other open world games that do so much more. It looks good in pictures and trailers, but the gameplay is just bland.

:whoa:
You can stop right there. We've heard enough. We get it, Infamous sucks and is bland, Titanfall is the premier MP title that is the culmination of years of dedication and hardwork that is now finally manifested on the perfect platform: Xbox One.

first i would have thought it was on the cod 4 engine but then i would have figured that they would get sued into oblivion, so then i would have to work my way toward source since it has the hallmarks of games of that era (half life 2, cs:s, portal, L4D2, etc.) if you are a pc gamer you can get a feel for it

i didnt have to look for reasons to downplay it, the fact that i didnt buy it after playing it is evidence enough that all the reasons i give are intellectually honest. i would not deprive myself of a game i felt was actually worth it.

i dont know what levels it's taking the genre, and those bots do nothing for me, but that is different from the last gen so i will give you that...in the same way a touchpad is different from a wiimote, i guess

and i offer real critiques of games, infamous included. i dont sugar coat any game to win debates. i didnt find the city itself limited, as a matter of fact, it impressed me the most considering how huge it was and how there were no noticable load times. it's the bland enemies and the limited gameplay mechanics that keep this game in just the "good, not great" category
