No. It's a scale. On one end is toughness. On the other end is trained skill. Fighter usually are more tough than they are skilled or more skilled than they are tough. There's a balance and a sweet spot. Being tough will only get you so far when you meet someone who's actually skilled, and being skilled will only get you so far when you meet someone who's actually tough.Are you saying that professional fighters lack toughness?![]()

UFC is the best modern mainstream example of this. There are some tough mfs, real tough. Got that dog in them, but there are much better trained fighters. Then you have some trained fighters on the roster, been doing it all their life. Can coach. Have all the knowledge and IQ you could want, but they don't have that dog in them.
