this is pretty normal for every generation of music heads regardless of the genre

i saw a facebook page the other day clowning on the new "pop-country"; i even think the page was pop country sucks

bigging up country singers like waylon jennings and george strait...artists like Luke Bryan and florida-georgia line are HATED in country music.

the most disturbing shyt though is R&B i don't give a fukk about hip hop:

everybody pretty much loved 80's and 90's R&B; old heads too. They may not have liked some of the sexualized music
but people that came up on MOTOWN loved Whitney, Luther, Brian Mcknight, Boyz 2 Men etc etc etc...

all that shyt is gone now. a whole genre of music just:

I think we're just old man

Sounding like our parents and shyt

my parents NEVER shyt on 90's R&B...NEVER. :sas1:

and they were die hard 70's R&B/Funk/Jazz heads. the whitest album my pops had was WAR...
hell, I just found out who ABBA was just a few years ago :mjlol:

the music now just sounds corporate. it's the same feeling i get from when New Kids on the Block was popping. it's just watered down and manufactured. all of it.

There was bullshyt music back then too tbh :patrice:
Of course it was. I don't think any OG in here would disagree with that statement. Here is the difference though. Back then they were one hit wonders. Now they have continuous fame.

You are out of your mind if you think rappers like Future would be having hits back then. shyt even Drake wouldn't be shyt back in them days. Rap is just garbage now. :yeshrug:

Not at all. When I was coming up Cats that were 10 and 15 years older were jamming our music. You don't see that really much now that I'm older. Our parents were way older than us and rap period they didn't like. But I be damn if my parents didn't like them R&B joints in the 80's and 90's.
