Be honest, will you be paying $80 for games?

Very few , and I say this as someone who paid

$109 for Virtua Racing Genesis
$70 Final Fantasy VI SNES
$78 Super Street Fighter 2 SNES

I haven’t played too many games this and last m gen that are worth $80 to me

Metroid Dread
Jedi Survivor
Returnal
Yakuza Like a Dragon
Mario Oddesy

Metroid Prime 4 and a Gears Collection would be paid for full price.

This is actually a good idea for a spinoff thread.

I’m a little torn on Metroid Dread being worth $80. Fantastic game but a short ride. Totally agree about Mario Odyssey and Jedi Survivor though.

I bought the $270 Final Fantasy XV Ultimate Collectors Edition at launch and still have it sealed in the shipping package in addition to buying a standard copy of the game for $70.

I bought the Persona 5 Take Your Heart Edition for $90.

Yeah I'd pay $80 for a game. Just not the overwhelming majority of them.

I don't even pay 60, the only full priced game I'm getting this year its MGSD because 3 is one of my fav games ever and want to support the possibility of more remakes, hopefully it launches in Epic Store since they have regional pricing.

There's so much stuff to play, there's really no need to play stuff as soon as the come out.

No we weren’t, we were lucky to get maybe one game for christmas, one for our birthdays.

most of us played most games from blockbuster or at friends houses growing up. I mean, at least in my case anyway. My parents werent buying me 80 dollar games every month.

i didn;t finish most SNES RPG’s until i got my first computer and emulated them
Yep, not to mention the snes came with either super mario world or DK and the PS1 came with a demo disk, so we were playing as soon as we opened the box without paying more.

Depends entirely on the game. :yeshrug:

If it's something I don't want to wait for, $80 won't break the bank, otherwise I'll wait for a price drop/sale.
Will wait and be more selective. I think the only $80 game I'll buy this year is probably Mario Kart World. I'm not paying $80 for anything else.
Yeah that's where I'm about headed w/games b/c a lot of AAA titles on the market are not worth $70+ on day 1. Too many games this gen have been overhyped $70 - 100 releases only to be garbage or not worth the price tag.

This won’t affect me too much in that I am more of a 4 games per year max. While fukking around occasionally with PS Plus titles. Just don’t have time to play too much.

But it certainly won’t get me to buy MORE games.

I paid $99 for Civ 7 a few weeks ago. I'll get my money's worth out of that, but I do feel like they overcharging considering some of that cost is Launch day dlc :gucci:
