Anyone saying no, is a got damn liar.
This ain't no "regular" franchise. The last one came out OVER 10 years ago and STILL gets daily play across the world.
I can easily see them getting away with a $100 price point
Yeah, you don't know people like me. Just off principle I'm not paying more than $30-40 for a game. I'll wait that shyt out 3 years if I have to because I refuse to pay anywhere near $100 for a game. Never bought a DLC in my life either so they aint even getting $100 total off me

Yes.

The game is going to cost $100. And AAA’s are going to follow w/ in the following couple of years till it’s industry standard at that tier.

You should’ve already seen this coming. With all these games trying to find ways to add elements of GAAS wherever they can to pad out the longevity of their games, it was inevitable. Plus it’s more cost effective than trying to make 12 different games to pop.

Games are still trying to duplicate what V was able to do, and keep the money coming in perpetually. I just hope we can get more of the niche titles, and series revived.
“In perpetuity” is what you meant to say.

Final Fantasy Rebirth came out last February and I didn’t play it until last December. I have mountains of games I’ve yet to play. I can easily wait a year or more. Hell Final Fantasy Remake came out in 2020 and I didn’t really dive in until 2024.

Not spending $100 on a game just because it’s popular. I barely spend $70 on them.

Nah, I could wait a few months for the price to drop to $70 or $80.

Hell nah and anybody saying yes is a fakkit

GTA 6 costing $100 by itself isn’t the worst but the rest of the gaming industry upping the prices of their mid ass games? NO :gucci:

Imagine getting ripped off paying $100 for MK just for them to release the game + all DLC 6 months later for $30?
You don't have to imagine. This is already happening :dead:

Honestly, for a game that drops once every 12 years, probably. It'd be disappointing but I would also hope it includes some online purchases in the price.

Broke people are the first people to have shyt. It's not about having the money to buy it or not it's about valuing the item at what they're asking for. The game flat out not worth $100. After all the impatient people that waited over a decade for it but couldn't wait a few months more get taken for that extra and it will be on sale for everyone else.

Delayed gratification is a skill broke people don't understand.

Folks thinking that volunteering to spend $100 on a videogame is a sign of not being broke….

:snoop: + :mjlol:

It’s not even about the money. Why would anyone volunteer or suggest spending any more than you have to…it’s…stupid.
AAA games are not sustainable at their current price point.

Reality is, prices “have to” go up in order for the games we enjoy to continue to exist
