Cole was all over Ye beats early in his career. fukkutalmbout :rudy:
So an up and coming rapper rhymed on the most popular beats at the time? :ohhh:

What's that have to do with anything? They're nothing alike and Cole's rapping is technically and artistically miles ahead of Kanye.

Cole is Fisher Price Kanye, and he proved it with Born Sinner. He hacked and slashed away at his presentation and kept the conservative, safe and uninteresting bits :pachaha:

Im not mad cause theres a lane for that, and his music is aite, but he's totally enamoured with Ye's whole style, even if he's rapping much better than Ye right now

Reading alot of these posts, Its clear that Blind haterism and dikkriding is whats harming hip hop today. You got nikkas that hate Kanye for going this route but would dikkride Lil Wayne when he put out the same experimental form type of trash(I Am Not a Human, Rebirth) and act as if that nikka is creating something monumental for generations.

Then you have the heads that dikkride Kanye to where they act that everything this dude touches regardless of how mediocre and wack it is top golden and use those same CAC reviews that they claim to be against as proof that Kanye is some sick disturbed genius

I personally thought Cole dropped a better album than Kanye which was a surprise to me because I thought Kanye was gonna come out swinging and continue the anti establishment vibe that he set with New Slaves and Black Skinhead. Lyrically he proves he can rap but it seems as though he was trying too hard to be a abstract artist and not be reconized as a Rapper and the album suffered because of it. Outside of I Am A God, New Slaves, Black Skinhead, and the jawn where he sampled Strange Fruit with elements of C-Murder's Down 4 my nikkas, I don't see myself really playing this album like that.

Cole on the other hand you can tell he really sat back and studied guys like Nas, Jay, Biggie, Pac, and Kanye as well on how to craft better songs than his last album,He experimented with different flows and setting themes for his album so people can hear him shine . He improved alot on crafting songs and while his production can be at time showcase somberness, Its not neccessary a bad thing because it still flows like a hip hop album instead of a attempt to gain CAC audiences.

He DID produced the BETTER album. So technically speaking since the topic is CURRENTLY..?

You didn't like Kanye's new production but that doesn't mean he couldn't make any beat Cole makes 10 times better if he wanted to. People may not like the direction he went in with the new album but overall, Cole is not near Kanye's level of talent production wise.

There are a lot of people that are better pure spitters than Kanye. Cole is one of them. But at Kanye's best, his production of said lyrics and his way of saying them evokes more emotion than Cole ever has. I like Cole, but he's somewhere stuck between being a upper echelon lyricist and Kanye West type of lyricist. This is the same guy who said, "you can't out fart me" on his last album. But he just doesn't illicit the same emotion that Kanye does, and I don't like this Kanye album at all and I know that Born Sinner is better.

each to their own and all that, but Cole is far...very far off being anywhere near upper echelon with the raps.
he has his little moments but even then they are too few and far between for me and upper echelon to me is stretching it.

I agree and I think he's a dope artist, but I was throwing some his die hards a bone. Like a lot of these new rappers, his storytelling ability is his strong point as opposed to his straight lyrical ability.
