Just discussing the music, LOX easily one that battle breh, the entire LOX was going at 50 and G Unit, even Sheek and J Hood, The LOX was like wolves in that beef.

Anyone who was listening to mixtapes during this era knew that this beef was gonna pop off at some point. I'm sure Jadakiss said something slick in an interview in The Source about The Roc/Hov so the anticipation was high.

Yes, Nas/Jay beef was bigger in all aspects but bar for bar and the fact that D-Block and State Prop weren't too far removed from the streets (or so I thought at 13/14 years old) this battle/beef seemed more likely to get ugly. This wasn't about no "King of NY" shyt.
