The fact that y'all truly believe Jay was supposed to treat Beans like a bad ass kid and send him to boarding school away from the hood so he can learn discipline and realize he doesn't have to be a street dude with the opportunities he has.

It would've been different if they were talking about Young Chris,Juelz, Cassidy,Yung Berg or any of them younger dudes who were running around with RR/ Rocafella at the time.....He was 30.

Sig is in my top 10 rappers, but dude was reckless. You can tell there was an internal battle Sigel was facing about making that adjustment to mogul life. Him and Jay would address it in bars kinda often...

"Beans, I ain't tryna change you, just give you some game, to make the transition from the streets to fame."

To this day, I believe Ross is having the career Jay wanted Beans to have.

100% right. Some, maybe even most of Sigel's best and most powerful work comes from that struggle, with the drug addiction, the streets and his faith. How he expressed it through music. Die, Dear Self, Mom Praying, Tales of a Hustler II, Change, Lord Knows, This Can't Be Life, I Can't Go On This Way, Got Nowhere.

And Sigel, like every other rapper, talks that dope boy kingpin shyt, I didn't need to rap shyt. Sigel was a real street dude, no question. But before rap, he was going hand to hand, running small dope spots in Philly, in the roughest blocks. Like breaking down 4 1/2 or whatever into rocks and setting up trap spot in abandonded buildings. Like Meek. More on than Meek, but it wasn't some lavish existence. Cigarette smoke and crack rocks.

So, when he gets his rap money, he TURNS INTO the dude he wanted to be. He could buy multiple kilos, buy 5 bricks and set up shop, undercut the other corner boys, and finance his homie's drug operations, which he did. He could roll around acting like a fukking lunatic, and bail out, get caught with a pistol, bail out. Break some dudes jaw bail out.

And then you have the actual rap game, where you are being rewarded for being a street guy, the pressure of the fame, the pressure of the labels. Making music where you are glorifying the lifestyle you are leading. Sigel had more depth than that in his music, but he was partially caught up between the streets and the fame, as Jay said.

MTV Diary Jay Z episode. Jay is in the studio. Leaves for the club at like 2 AM. Shows up and sees Beans in a scuffle immediately.

Man hit the :unimpressed: and walked into the crowd to drag him out. The court situation was an evolved form of that incident :snoop:

Just because you from the hood don’t mean you wanna put up with Ignorant ghetto shyt. I cut off a friend this year. Friend since childhood. I’m a grown ass man with a family and responsibilities with a real job. This dude still getting in trouble with the law in his mid 30s. I can’t be around no negative energy. I dint care how cold it is. That’s the life of someone who is lazy, self serving and has no future

Whatever went down at that club in 1999, Jay almost derailed his whole life and career too. So, he knew. He knew how quick it could all go away. He was lucky for a few reasons but if Lance had died, and he did it, or his boys, it's a move that ends with him in prison. He would have missed his whole life's plan in one night. Over 'Un' Riviera? Some drunken night club street bullshyt?

So why didn’t they go to the judge after that days trial or ask the judge that day

Or something

That’s could have been done

Those other 2 have just as much power Jay had

And according to dame he was really in charge and Jay was “his artist”

Come on you know what point I’m making
lol if you're watching a trial you can't just talk to the judge. It doesn't work that way. I actually feel if Dame was offered that opportunity he would have took Beans in. In fact he was hurt when it seemed Beans chose Jay instead of sticking with him.

Now why can't y'all be this eloquent when these newer rappers do this exact same thing?:pachaha:

:pacspit::russ:Beanie was jumping in crowds trying to beat up people way back and Jay had to stop him, It was never Jay’s fault. Starts at 7:00

Nah you don’t get it

Jay should never stop watching these guys

Along with passing out money to everyone and performing for free

And let dame dash do whatever he wants

Jay foul as hell and a devil for not doing things people want

File a motion to ask the judge to do it

I thought he have morals

If dame says he the man he been yelling about

He would have fought tooth and nail to be the one to watch beans

In fact why didn’t dame ask to buy Jay out of his ownership of the roc

Since that incident of total betrayal

He kept on working with such a man that have no morals

If you listen to dame it’s sooooo many times Jay didn’t do what dame wanted

Buy him out and you don’t have to worry about disloyalty

I wonder why he kept working with such a person

Choke acts like he was a co-owner chicken should have used his immense power to get Jay out

Kind of crazy to see this now in hindsight. Jay used to seem more human or open. Now him and Beyonce are so curated you forget they weren't always like that.
Can’t you see why that happened?

Every attempt to take them down they pull more and more away from black people

Not to yt’s because they expect that

It’s away from us

I don’t blame black celebrities for that

How can Dame file a motion when Dame isn't part of the case lmao. Can only intervene if the judge gives him permission I believe. The most Dame could have did was write a letter which isn't guaranteeing anything.

As far as buying him out, maybe he didn't have the money to do so or he figured they were partners. This is even though the business didn't work out he had figured Jay was entitled to his share because they started together.
