Yes. So true. Beans was making his best material with Just Blaze, Kanye West, Bink, 88-keys, No ID, Buckwild, or even Neptunes. Not saying he's gotta use big names, but I'd rather see Beans link up with a producer and do an entire project or something. Someone that can hear his new voice and tailor some joints specifically for it. Despite having some classic production on his albums, I think a lot of it was Beans being constantly surrounded by amazing producers in his crew. Ever since '05, his production got way more generic when the crew fell apart and it seemed like Beans was making all the production choices.

All three of his projects after 2005's masterpiece were average/well below average

I gotta go back and re-listen. The fact that I don't even remember much of it makes me think you might be right.
