mfs is frontin like crazy and lying to themselves if they don't think Beans was as skilled as Rakim. Dawg, forget the production and just based off his technicality and the sh*t he was saying, he had a rare combination of being street, soulful and technical, something a lot of these street spitters weren't. The fact that he had a better career than Canibus lets you know he wasn't just a guy that rhymes words together just for the sake of it. He was in his own way but if he had better sense, he'd have a monster of a catalog and be considered top 5 with the bag he had. BEANS was HIM!
I think he's great. Just raw spitting ..dropping gems...a lot of people think he outshined Jay on their songs ..dudes an idiot, did a lot of stupid shyt...but he was a great ...the voice change of course sucks...but I still listen to beans often
