I don't personally agree with his stance on the gay issue because everybody isn't gonna turn gay, no matter how much it's in the media or music industry or whatever it's not going to make the majority gay. There's also more to relationships than reproduction, seen some straight couples who been together for a long time that either didn't or couldn't have children yet the fruitfulness of their relationship was the love and happiness it produced so that logic could also apply to same sex relationships plus they could even adopt or whatever so I can't be against anybody just cause they are different, in this case sexuality wise. The human race isn't going to die out because a minority of people are gay, been some gay people probably since humans existed and hasn't happened, not going to either.
As far as Beanie as an artist, he clearly still has a lot to offer to me, his verse on The Real Is Back with Dave East was ill. That was some potent shyt, and was feeling that Good Night joint also in particular. I'm waiting on a new Beanie project, what he offers I rarely hear from MC's, he has some great elements within his work that I relate to and fukk with. As far as being knocked down, it's always about how a person comes back from adversity not if they ever face any because everyone does mostly at some point, it's whether you can come back and also if you show the fight and spirit.
Has he made mistakes, probably, does he have room to grow, yes, but has he made great and classic songs and left an imprint on the game yes. I am glad he's still alive after what happened to him and still making music I can vibe to and feel. I don't know him personally to really judge him but as an artist I really like Beans and think he's a contender for a top 30 slot and no matter what anybody says it isn't over yet, there's people that are really feeling his new shyt, just go read his Twitter for they feelings on it, people fukking with it. I'm anticipating his new shyt even more now and that ish with Jada could be fire. I hope he can keep dropping music, nothing about him getting knocked down changes my respect for him in any way, I never viewed rappers as superheroes, could happen to any rapper ever if they got hit from the blindside by a huge ass dude, that's life, the fact he got up and performed right after actually shows some toughness, steel and legitimacy in that regard, especially considering he has 1 lung and probably still recovering from the shooting, he seems like a warrior, I respect that. Character wise it's too hard to tell, I don't know him like that to judge him, so all I can go on is the music, and I like that.
