A lot of the best album material had been recorded for years, I remember I was panicked when Sig picked up his cases that summer, because I was anticipaitng this album, more then anything, more then 'The Black Album', Beanie was my favorite, and I remember they previewed tracks like 'I Can't Go On This Way', and 'Purple Rain', I had that 'Wanted' on a mix cd, without the Cam'ron verse....just Beanies first two. His arrest delayed and definitely impacted this album, I think it came mostly together in the end, though. The Snoop track was filler, but it's a classic, or close to it, for Sigel/State Prop fans....His defining work, without a doubt...
'Tales Of a Hustler 2' is chillingly and beautiful in it's despair, 'Change' is perfect, as a remorse tinged letter of explanation....it's a really introspective album, esp. if you know the life....
