beanie sigel easily was a better rhymer in terms of rhyme schemes
and he had punchlines the only thing hov had beans in was metaphors and wordplay

so overall beanie sigel was easily better in his prime imo

Beans metaphors and wordplay lacked the sophisticification of Jay's bars

Nothing Beans has ever spit will reach or has reached the level of D'evils, Regrets, Dead Presidents, Most Kings, etc etc.

This thread is basura to even compare that simple ass rapper to the complexity known as Jay Z :rudy:

Jay Clearly. Beans doesn't have a D'evils in his catalogue. But to be fair you could say that about 98% of rappers

Ill be a realist and say that Jay is better.

But as a Philly dude, I listen to Beans more than Jay :yeshrug:

Beans definitely outshined jay on alotta tracks though

Yeah but I'd expect him to, given the subject matter on the majority of those collabs. Like "It's On"...that's just something made for Beans. You can see Jay struggling to keep up (although he did his thing on that record). It's like when people make a big deal out of Em outshining him on Renegade. Of course he did, it's a song about being an outcast in society, produced by Eminem. Who could ever outshine him on that kind of record.

Anyway, Beans was def one of my favorite artists at the turn of the century. But pound for pound, he's several rungs below Jay.
