good battle from my junior high/high school days and arguably my fav beef. but lets be real....
"i dont know where they found you son, but since ya pops ain't around i'm a punish you and ground you son" (jada referring to beans crying on "where have you been" on the dynasty album)
"and you's a faq your next rhyme should be on a sisqo beat" (beans guest appeared on that terrible sisqo "unleash the dragon" track)
"you forgot the reason that you signed with the roc is cause you listen and watch and listen to the lox" (beans opening verse on foxy's song 4,5,6... "Haters wonderin' how I got a position with Roc, Cuz I listen to The LOX and I listen then watch...")
i can go on for days and, but i'd be wasting time. beans was no match for jada. every line that jada spit you could break it down and it was truth.
beans/state prop though did put up a good fight. plus he and state prop did some damage especially freestyle at hot97 on the mary j family affair beat, special delivery beat, mobb deeps burn beat with flex going off, the cam beat where he says "please dont compare mac to _______, you wanna know who greater dog, go ask jada.....milk and cookies for rookies, coffee and donuts for grown up, etc....)
i dont even have to get into when styles got involved. the fiesta freestyle, styles and j-hood getting at hov on the ray j "wait a minute" beat, jada freestyles at powerhouse in philly, jada getting at hov about hov apologizing on the uh-huh track with dmx on his debut album......which nas referenced "pop sht apologize, n1gga just ask kiss"
its too much. if you think beans won, you were clearly not following the battle at all. i have all the freestyles and disses and songs, interview, etc that are related to this beef and have listened to them since 2001...all on my external harddrive. all of this started because vibe/source/xxl or whatever magazine at the time misquoted jada as him saying philly rappers stole his style which set it all off.....
it was good time and a real beef on wax unlike these wack rappers of today and what you 90s baby are hyping up over with terrible lines and terrible rappers.
but overall d-block demolished state prop, especially with jada's first diss on the disco beat, and styles' diss when he talks about the roc sign being an upside down pu$$y on the "that n1gga jigga beat".
they finally squashed it back in 2006 or so when beans was going to jail (on some real sht), and jada/beans made that track together produced by khaled...cant remember the name of it but its the joint where jada says "you got a hole in you and you bleeding so its not like i'm just calling you a pu$$y for no reason."
